How can I edit the header when printing in Access?

As a teacher of 25+ students in a class, it is helpful to have some
identifying info in the header when we print. I cannot seem to find a way to
get into the header of a printed table. We are using Access 2007

Don't print the table, but a report based on it or on a query on the table.
If the information you want in the header is variable, in the report header
add an unbound text box with a ControlSource property such as:

=[Enter header info:]

When you open the report you'll be prompted to enter the info, and whatever
you enter at the prompt will appear in the report header. Make sure the text
box is big enough to hold whatever you might enter at runtime.

If the information you want in the header is fixed you can simply put a
label control in the header, with its Caption property set to the required
text.
