That would be the text at the bottom left that tells you what page you're on
and what section you're in. Right now, mine says
"Page 36 Sec 4 40/74".
The page number of the page I'm currently working with is 36.
I'm in the 4th section of my document.
I'm working on the 40th page of 74 pages.
If you click on either side of a strangely-placed page break and the section
number changes, then you have a section break inserted. You should be able
to see all of these if you click the backwards P button on the toolbar, or
go to Tools>>Options, View tab, Formatting Marks, select All.
Also at the bottom right is the up and down double arrows and the circle in
the center. Click the circle and select the icon that looks like pages
changing from portrait to landscape - as you mouse over, it should say
"Browse By Section". Now as you click the up and down double arrows, you
will go from one section to the next or previous. If there shouldn't be a
section break, you can delete the break.
