how can I email a One Note document

How can I email a One Note document as an attachment that the recipient can
open if they do not have One Note or Word programs? Also how can I send a One
Note document directly as an email without a covering note.

Hi Ben!
Thank you for your prompt reply. I am running Microsoft Office OneNote 2003
SP1 by the way. Problem is I do not have an 'email' option on clicking
"File", neither am I able to actually install the 'email' command on to the
tool bars (or to create it on a customized tool bar, either). What happens is
that I select the email command, and drag it to a tool bar. Then, instead of
installing on the tool bar, it disappears. Is it possible OneNote 2003 does
not offer email as a possibility.
Any further help would be appreciated.
Best,
Joy

Ah.. there is the problem. OneNote only does email with Outlook. You may not
be able to do what you are looking to do.

You can save the OneNote page or section as an MHT file or a Word file, then
attach that to your email from OE, but that is about the closest thing you
are going to get to what you want.

This is fixed in OneNote 2007 we work with MAPI apps, not just Outlook.
