How can I export cash flow report data into Excel?

I can get a report of cashflow for my project, but I want to export this
report to Excel so I can make the report more convenient to use and I can
produce cash flow graphs. I guess this is not possible because the reports
only seem to exist as an image view. Is there a way to do this?

Excel don't like access report formating. it would be
better to export the data from the query that drives the
report. The query produces data in data sheet format and
excel like that format.
