How can I find a powerpoint I accidentally discarded?

the screen opened to an email message box (wasnt trying to send it as a
message, but with touch screen i accidentally touched something) so I exited
and got the message that my powerpoint might be discarded. knowing i had it
in onenote (and failing to understand the gravity of the situation) i went
ahead with discarding the message. and now i cant find the powerpoint. Can
anybody help?

In the search box select "all notebooks" and search for ".pdf"
