How can I fix this?

Hello all! I recently got an ENVY 14 for college and installed the
Microsoft Office 2007 that I had used on my previous computer. The
software works fine, but it looks like its straight out of the 90's. I
can almost see the pixels in the different icons. Even the "X" button
to close it looks extremely blocky. I have un-installed everything and
installed it all again, but it looks the same. The weirdest thing is
that there are a few icons that looks new like they're supposed to.
For example, in Word, the button to insert word art looks very normal.
I know that the problem is not specific to the discs I used because I
have used them to install Microsoft Office on my old computer as well
as my sister's computer and they work fine. Any suggestions as to how
I can go about fixing this problem are welcome. Thank you!

Sounds like there is a problem with the display driver on your computer.
