How can I get back a missing option under Format?

I've suddenly lost the Paragraph option on the Format option. What can I do
to get it back? I've tried repairing the program with no luck. The only way I
can see the Paragraph option is by right-clicking on the text, but that's
very time consuming. Word won't recognize the keystroke entries either for
Format > Paragraph. What should I try next?
