how can i get outlook to connect to the internet automatically

i have switched to microsoft outlook 2003, but cant get it to connect to my
internet connection (if im offline) when i load the program!!! where as
outlook express does!

You've provided no information.
Mail account type and connection type you set for that account are a
minimum.
More would be better.
