Project 2003: In the analyze Time Phased Data in Excel, you will want to set
the status date far into the future. Then export the desired fields.
Traditionally, BCWS, BCWP (Earned Value or EV) and ACWP (Acutal Cost or AC).
Graphcis are then created in Excel from the export.

Project2007: This is a visual report already supplied. Reports/Visual
Reports... it poduces a nice chart in Excel for you.

Thanks Jim,

But I have tried and nothing, the values are in Excel in zero. I only have
the plan, I do no have the progress yet.

Did you set a baseline yet?

Tools/Tracking/Save Baseline.... Make sure entire project is selected, click
OK

Click --
Project/Project Information....
Set the [Status Date] to after the project finish date.
Click OK

Analyze Timephased data in Excel.
Select "Entire Project"
While holding the control key, select ACWP, BCWP, BCWS
Click Add
Release the control key
Select [Work]
Click Remove
Click Next.
Specify dates as appropriate.
Select Units -- typically months not Days (this is not the default)
Next (twice)
Export Data.

Works fine here...
Note you will only obtain BCWP and ACWP after you enter progress data...
So, you may as well only select the BCWS and ignore BCWP and ACWP for now.
Again, make sure that status date is way out in the future otherwise you
will get all zeros.

Oops! Another overlooked assumption.
You have costed resources loaded against all the descrete tasks, right?
The resources have a work rate greater than 0?

I also believe you need to have the option under the Calculation tab in
Tools>Options set to Actual costs are always calculated by Microsoft Office
Project.

I want to graph cumulative work, but I need to graph plan cumulative work
(baseline) at the begining and after real cumulative work.

Thanks a lot!!!

So all you need is the version that was used to generate your Baseline,
which is probably the current version with all of the Progress stripped out,
and then generate Cumulative Work from that, via the Analysis Toolbar and
the Analyse Timescaled Data In Excel button.
Perhaps you have saved at the time a copy of the version of the file that
was used to create the Baseline, which would be handy.

What you want, I think is just the Earned Value analysis with Hours instead
of Dollars. If you set all of your Resource Standard Rates to $1/Hour then
$1 = 1 Hour, then you can used the Earned Value fields as though Dollars
were Hours. So as well as Budgeted Cost (Work) of Work Scheduled, which
comes from your Baseline, you need Actual Cost (Work) of Work Performed and
Budget Cost (Work) Of Work Performed.
