How can I get Vizact 2000 to work on Windows XP?

I cannot get Vizact 2000 to work on Windows XP, especially any effects.
Whenever I add an effect and go to preview, the program crashes. The time
line in Vizact doesn't even work. I've already set up the compatability for
it to run as if the program was on Windows 98, but that fails too.
