Dear All

i am using MS office 2007 and facing a problem in Outlook 2007. i am
facing problems from a few days and i have left no stone unturned to resolve
it but :( .

Actually i am unable to open attached "email item,or *.msg file" this
file is basically an email itself attached as attachment in another email.
and the message displays is that "microsoft office outlook message and item
previewer error" .

i have tried these options already.

- Running MS Office 2007 Diagnostics
- Repairing MS Outlook 2007 by installing it again by running office 2007
setup.
-
Can anybody help about the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Uninstall Google Desktop Search. Google released a version that causes this
issue.

I do not have Google desktop search and i still get an error message saying
i need a file previewer. Some files do open if i double click them but many
do not, giving me the error message that there is no previewer installed. if
am to install it, where would i find it? the latest, a .wmv file, will not
open in the previewer. each displays a link to list of previewers, saying one
came with office 2007. where is it?

Not at all related to the original post.
Previewers for some Office files came with Office 2007. For other file types
there is support from Windows Vista, for 3rd party file types (like pdf)
you'll need a 3rd party previewer.

True, the post is not related to the thread, but so isn't the answer to the
post.

Didn't Bonnie say the issue was with a WMV Windows file? Do you mean that to
preview Windows files a third party previewer is needed? Where to get it?
isn't this an issue? The link on the Outlook when this issue happens is not
helpful at all; it shouldn't be there because it is useless, so it only makes
us waste time.

I have the same issue, that is why I spend time writing this, expecting
someone kind will give us the necessary help.

Thank you

The answer is very related and also answers your question.
Do you mean that to
preview Windows files a third party previewer is needed?
No, I said you'd need Windows Vista for that (wmv-file).
