How can I hide recurring Calendar appointments?

I have set up a daily calendar appointment in Outlook 2003 and it is
cluttering up my monthly Calendar screen and making it hard to pick out at a
glance when there are other meeting requests for a particular day. I want to
hide it from my Calendar view but still receive the notifications and still
have the time show as "busy" to others. How can I do this? Thanks in advance
for your help.
