How can I identify that the Crane has a Driver

B

Brett Wilson

I have an extremely large project to schedule but only one Crane
available for use. I do how ever have 2 crane operators but not
specifically for the crane.
What I need is some method for checking that the crane has an operator
whenever it is required. (A nice to have would also be to see which
machinery the operators are assigned to eg. Dozer, Roadtrain, Grader,
Road roller etc.
I do beleive someone has written a macro to to do this but I don't
know where to find it.
Thanks

Hello brett,

You don't need any macro to do that.
In the Resource Sheet, (View / Resource Sheet) create the resources
- Crane
- Crane opérator 1
- Crane opérator 2

Assigne the 3 resources on the task "Building site". NB : this task is not
"Effort Driven" !
Switch to the Task Usage view : View / Task Usage
If your time scale has a day by day basis, you may have 8h of work each day
for each resource. You enter 0h when one of the 2 Crane operators doesn't
work.
