How can I install Office 2000 Premium on a machine and it's updat.

Jenny

I am a network administrator and I set up Office 2000 Premium on all new
machines in my company. The only problem is then I have to run office
updates individually on each machine once Office is installed. What I would
like to know is a way to integrate the updates into the setup of Office
Premium so that they will be done at the same time as installation. Do you
know of a way for me to do this? It would be extremely timesaving! Any
ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Basic approach would be to setup an Office Admin Point
(you'd need an Office Enterprise/volume License for
Office 2000) then update the admin point and
run setup from there or create a custom CD from that
point). You'll find information in tools in the
Office 2000 resource Kit
http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2000

MS no longer supplies Office 2000 CDs, but a Service Release
(SR) unlike a Service Pack (SP) resulted in a reissued
Office 2000 CD set, so, if you can find one there is
an Office 2000 SR1 and Office 2000 SR2 CD set available
and there won't be any additional Office 2000 updates
except for possible security issues.
