You will need to add the Actual Start and Actual Finish fields to the list
of Published fields in every project. To do, complete the following steps:
1. Open a project
2. Click Tools - Customize - Published Fields
3. Copy the Actual Start and Actual Finish fields to the list on the right
4. Select each field and select the "Let resource change field" option
5. Click OK
6. Click Collaborate - Publish - Repubish Assignments
7. Click OK
You will need to repeat the above steps for every project in your
organization's portfolio, if this is intended to become the standard method
of tracking for every project. In addition, you should add these fields to
every enterprise project template as well. If you are using Project Server
2003, you will also need to ask your Project Server administrator to edit
the Timesheet view to include the Actual Start and Actual Finish fields.
