How can i locate the Drawing Tool Bar so it stays on the screen

Sounds like you're probably using Excel 2007. The drawing tool ba
(like so many of the good ones) is a contextual toolbar, meaning it'
only visible if you are presently on a drawing object.

Unfortunately there is no way in 2007 to make the tool bar stay activ
all the time unless you're only have a drawing object selected. Once yo
select a cell or worksheet object it disappears. But....

Here is a way you can get to it quickly. If you don’t have a drawin
object in the workbook that you’re working on, in the Insert menu
select "Shapes" from the Illustrations group and choose any shape (lik
Rectangle, or the shape that you want) and click in your workbook t
insert it. Now select the shape, you should now see up on the top row i
Excel "Drawing Tools" above the "Format" tab. The "Format" tab i
essentially the "Drawing tool bar". If the tool bar disappears simpl
reselect the drawing object and the tool bar should reappear

If by some chance you're still using Excel 2003 or earlier, all yo
need to do is right click anywhere in the tool bar area and choos
"Drawing" from the list.

Best of Luck,

Da
