How can I mail merge labels so that the same name repeats across .

I am creating a mailmerge of student first and last names on a label. I
would like to create each row of labels with the same student's name going
across. My sheet has 4 labels across - i.e. Mary Jones Mary Jones Mary
Jones Mary Jones
and then another name repeat across for the second row, and so on. Is there
any way to do this?
Thank you!

Create the Label merge, enter the fields that you want in the first label,
then "propagate the labels" in the usual way

At this point if you use Alt-F9 you should be able to see that each "label"
has a number of { MERGEFIELD } fields and every label has a { NEXT } field
except the very first one on the sheet.

Delete the { NEXT } fields in columns 2, 3 and 4.

Save your mail merge main document.

Test by merging to a new document.

Having done what Peter suggests note that some versions of Word will
contrive to put back the missing next fields if you leave the document as a
label format document. You can avoid this, if it becomes an issue, by
changing the merge document type to 'Letter' before removing the unwanted
Next fields.
