How can I mailmerge emails with content changes (not just address)

H

hlgraff

I am trying to send weekly emails to a group of connected people. The emails
will differ slightly in content, as well as in address of course.

How do I set up a data table for the differing contents and then run the
mailmerge for the emails to be sent?

All help gratefully received.

With thanks

Howard

You can use any number of data sources -- an Access database, an Excel
spreadsheet, an Outlook contacts folder, a comma-delimited text file, etc.
If you start the merge in Word, it will even offer the option of building a
new table, which will go into an Access database.

from Outlook, use the Phone List view of Contacts. Group or sort as
required and then highlight the people to merge to email. Tools, Mailmerge,
select merge to Email (at bottom left of screen), complete the subject line
that now appears. That's it. Word will start up.

Use the Insert Merge Fields button to select from your Contacts fields. Then
there's a button on the toolbar to merge to email.

Email is an available option for the output of a Word mail merge, along with
new documents and printer.
