How can i make AppointmentItem not editable in the calendar?

Hey,
I have an AppointmentItem that i'm creating programmatically in my
application. (VSTO + C#)
I need to force users not to change this AppointmentItem.

Is there a way to make this AppointmentItem not rewriteable or not
editable?
