How can I make lines with a exact number of characters?

Hello,
I would like to configure page settings to have lines with an exact
number of characters. For example: 65 characters.

Use a non-proportional font. Set your margin and font size appropriately.
Example: Font Courier New, Font Size 11, Print area 6" will give you 65
characters per line.
