how can i make spreadsheet have fewer rows

Lindab

I have made a spreadsheet for a calendar of physicians schedules. The file I
have made for 2008 has a worksheet that I use to calculate how many call
days, vacation days, time in each office. The worksheet that I use to
calculate these items has 66,000+ rows. I am afraid I have forgotten how to
reduce the size of each individual spreadsheet within a file. Please help!
This file takes 10 minutes to open and save.

There is no compact command as in Access. If you have 66,000+ rows this must
be XL2007 (Prior versions only have 65536 rows)

If this is the case you could try highlighting any additional rows between
the bottom when when dragging the vertical scrollbar all the way down and
the last row after your actual data. Once you have highlighted the *entire*
rows, right click any selected row label and select delete. Save the file
and that's as small as you'll get it (Doing the same for columns as well)
