How can I make the members of a distribution list into contacts?

I made up distribution lists for Outlook by importing names and email
addresses. I gather that I should have started by making individual
"Contact" files for each. Now I have a set of DL's whose members I would
like to make into individual contacts. Can't I get Outlook to do that for
me? How? I would appreciate help.

Save the DL in RTF format. Use Word to convert it to a plain text file and
Excel to convert that to a CSV file. Make sure the file has clear headers
that Outlook can recognize as Field Names, then import it into Outlook.

Easier -- save it as a plain text file, then edit it in Notepad to remove
the first few lines that contain the DL name and description. Save and
import as a tab-delimited file.

Both methods are pretty convoluted if you ask me ;)
