How can I manage Issues and Risks at program level in PS2007

I can enter and view risks against individual projects in Project Server
2007. But I cannot see how to assign risks at the portfolio or program
level. I also cannot see how to produce a single risk log for all risks in
all projects. Similarly for Issues.

Q1. Is it possible to manage issues and risks at program and portfolio
level in Project Server 2007?

Q2. Is possible to produce a single Risk log that contains all the risks
from all projects together with the risks that are program and portfolio
level risks?

Q3. Similarly for Issues.

Q4. Can you please tell me how to do this in Project Server 2007?

No, not in the way you want to, ie linking a risk from the master project
(programme) to a task in the inserted project.

There is a free WSS web part that will bring together similiar lists. This
would begin to give you the solution. Or use SSRS -

Ben, your answer is incomplete.

I may be missing the obvious. Could someone please give me the link to some
advanced user Help on setting up PS2007 Issues and Risks. Further
explanation of my question below:

I have read through SDK, but cant find the guidance I need.

What's New in Proejct Server 2007 states: "Program portal supports
cross-project views of issues, risks, and documents"

Where can I find guidance on how to set this up?

Also, I have set up Risk views for one project and saved them as templates,
but I can't see these views in other projects. How can I use my views in all
projects

Hi EVPM,
There are no links that I am aware of to advanced user Help for Issues &
Risks.

Regarding "What's New in Proejct Server 2007 states: "Program portal supports
cross-project views of issues, risks, and documents"", it doesn't in a
single location. However, you can get them using SSRS, but you'll have to
develop the reports, or use OLAP, or use the WSS web part as I suggested
before.

Customising a Risks template for a single project will not propogate, as you
have found out, to other projects. The resolution is well documented, though
varies slightly for P2003 vs P2007 - have a look here

Hi Ben,

Thank you for your reply.

I am new to this and have mistakenly started a second trhread on the same
subject. I tried to clarify my question and make it mor succinct after your
first reply, but then found I couldn't delete the first thread (this one).

So could you and anyone else who cares to respond to this question please
reply to the thread titled 'PS2007, Risks and Issues roll up across programs
and projects' instead of tyo this thread.
