how can i manually archive an email?

I have 32bit vista home and outlook 2007 (no exchange or anything
complicated). My email provider just upgraded my account from POP3 to IMAP.
Now i have dragged all my email folders from the old personal folders list to
the new IMAP inbox. the problem is i had to get temporary permission to
tranfere about 2 gigs of emails into the account while i set it up. So i
need to archive a lot of emails. The only problem is that because these
emails were recently "moved" to the IMAP account, they are all appearing to
be 2 days old (at least i think this is what is going on) because now if i
try to use the auto archive feature, no emails get archived. Is there any
way to manually archive emails, or any other better suggestions?

Archiving emails is nothing more than moving it to another pst-file. So the
process would be the reverse of how you moved them to the IMAP account. You
can decide which pst-file you want to move it to. If you already have an
archive that you want to move it to but is currently not connected yet to
Outlook, use File-> Open-> Outlook Data File... to connect to it.

First, I don't believe you can autoarchive IMAP folders, but I could be
wrong. Manually archive messages simply by copying them to the PST folder
where you want to keep them.
