How can I merge presentations but keep formatting of original?

Version: v.X Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I'm trying to merge four different presentations for a trade show conference we're doing into one longer presentation but I can't figure out how to preserve the formatting of one presentation when I insert it into another. It changes all of the backgrounds to the longer presentation, and I'm not given an option to preserve formatting when I import. HELP!!!

I've honestly not seen v.X in more than 5 years so I can't remember whether
this applies or not. In later versions at least, when you use Insert> Slides
From> Other Presentation you have to select the option for "Select slides to
insert". In the Slide Finder that comes up there is a checkbox to "Keep
original design of slides", but you can still elect to include any/all
slides to import. If that feature is in v.X you'll also find that you can
import from all of those files as a single operation.

Thanks Bob. I finally came to the conclusion that I needed to purchased the Office 2008 version. I downloaded the free trial, and there was the "Keep original design of slides" button. It worked perfectly.

Thanks,

Stephen
