how can I merge print and keep the conditional formatting

I want to print words that are color coded by conditional formatting in the
Excel spread sheet used to merge to a Word document.

Unsupported.

Best you could do would be to copy/paste the table (with a link, if you like)
into a Word document so that Word preceives it as a Word table. Insert the
merge fields. Alt+F9 to view the field codes. Remove the word "Mergefield"
from those data fields where you need to bring across the font formatting.
Alt+F9 to hide the field codes. Execute the merge.
