How can I modify a Master shape and make it update its instances?

Hi

I'd like to create a set of master shapes for use in multiple documents. Occasionally, I will need to update the master shape and I would like all instances of the Master to be updated in the open document. What I need is similar to the Org chart synchronized shapes. Is there anyway to do this

Hi Tim,

do you want to change the master shapes in just one document or all
documents which use them?

in the first case, you can open the document stencil of the currently
opened document and edit the master shapes there. After doing this, all
the instances of the edited masters will be changed.

now you can replace the master in your stencil with the new master in
the document stencil. By doing this, the new master will be available in
other documents too, but you still have to edit the document stencil of
the other documents.
