How can I move the vertical scroll bar to the left side? (Word 20

I am left handed and using a tablet PC. When I view a document in MS Word, I
would like the vertical scroll bar to appear on the left hand side where I
can access it more easily with my left hand. Can that be done? Thanks.

Hi R.,

If in Word 2003:
Tools=>Options=>View
[ ] Left Scroll Bar

If in Word 2007
Office Button=>Word Options=>Advanced=>Display
[ ] Left Scroll Bar

"Left scroll bar" is not available in the View Options in my version of Word
2003. I suspect this may be one of those options that become available if
you have a right-to-left language enabled.

Thanks to you both. I checked and my version of Word 2007 didn't have that
option either but when I installed support for right-to-left languages, the
option appeared where Bob described and worked perfectly. :)

Hi Suzanne,

Ahh, correct. And it doesn't hold if you later remove the Right to Left (RTL) language choice using the Office Language Settings
tool.
