How can I open a visio 2000 diagram in visio 2003?

I am trying to open a visio 2000 diagram in visio 2003 and it just hangs. I
have tried on 3 different machines and have made sure I have all the office
patches. Ant suggestions?

does the v2000 diagram require an addin to be loaded. software dependencies
often play a part in stuff like this.

No addins that I am aware of. I have this problem with any 2000 or 2002
drawing.

v2003 can save a document in v2000/v2002 format. You might see if you can
save something from v2003 (as v2002), open it on your v2000 system, edit it,
and then send it back to v2003. This way at least you have a known 'good'
document to test load/save against. Is this one v2003 system or all of them.
