How can I open multiple pictures at once?

Outlook 2003 - When I get an email with several jpeg files as attachments
(e.g., pictures from friends) that show up as attachement files in the header
- is there a way to view them without opening them each individually? Either
a viewer that will figure out when I hit the "next" button, that I want it to
go to the next attached picture? Or to get the pictures to show up in the
text (I suspect that that is not possible). The only way I've figured out is
to save the jpegs to a folder on the desktop, and then open that - it's just
kind of a hassle. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Unfortunately, Microsoft, for reasons known only to them, removed the
multiple attachment opening feature in Outlook 2003. This feature was
available in Outlook 97 and 2000 but disappeared in 2003. In most posts I've
read on the subject, most responses from Microsoft employees refuse to admit
that Microsoft made an error and forgot to include the necessary code for
this feature. It's extremely annoying. As is the other feature they
ditched. In previous versions of Outlook you could type a nickname into the
nickname spot and use that nickname to send an email. Where this came in
handy: say you know three Michaels and one of them is your spouse, you could
type "hubby" into nickname and then never run the risk of accidently emailing
something meant for hubby to the wrong Michael.

All we can hope is the new email program being released shortly fixes these
problems. Of course, that would mean that Microsoft would have to admit they
made a mistake. This has been bugging me for months now and while I don't
want to be accused of ranting in this forum, I really hope Microsoft puts
those features back, please!

In the meantime, you are stuck opening each attachment one at a time.

Well, that certainly is annoying. At least it wasn't just that I couldn't
figure it out. But - what is the new email program being released? Is there
a new Outlook with the Vista release? Thanks,

Office 2007 Standard has Outlook 2007. I downloaded the beta version, but my
pda wasn't compatible and Palm didn't have the updates available for a beta
version. Now that Microsoft has release Office 2007 I'm hoping that Palm
will catch up with the necessary updates.

While I had the beta loaded I wasn't able to check out all the features so I
don't know if these problems were fixed or not.

Office 2007 is available now, and Outlook 2007 can be purchased stand alone.
I do not believe it comes packaged with Vista, but I'm assuming that Vista
has a free email program like Outlook Express or some such, but I don't know
for sure.
