How can I open *.QPW files on Excel?

I have some spreadsheets with a *.QPW suffix. I suspect that they are Quattro
Pro files. I wish to open these files on Excel 2000 but have not been able to
find a converter. Can anybody help?

I don't see any Excel converters from MS for QPW files. I've never used QP
but fwiw this article seems to imply that Excel can open QPW files
(directly?):

Direct quote from Excel Help "quattro"

Excel 2000 and later versions cannot open Quattro Pro files that are password
protected. Before you open the file in Excel, make sure you have removed any
password from the file. You may need to install the Quattro Pro converter.
This is available on the Microsoft Office Web site.

Click on the link and "United States" to get to the downloads page and search
for "Quattro"

Will find a d/l site for Excel 2000 convertor if needed.
