how can i organize the contents of a folder in Vista?

Yes, there's an "organize" button, but its action is not at all transparent,
and most recently it has chosen to organize the contents of folders in
reverse alphabetical order, with no visible option for reversing the order.
How can I gain control of this rogue?
Thanks,
Chaz

Ask in a Vista group - this is not one of them.
