How can i paste something into an entire column

i have a query that i made and what i have to do is paste
the samething into every cell in a column, is ther ne way
to select the entire column and be able to paste the same
thing into every cell simultaneously?

this can be done by an update query, there is no filling out like in excel
make a select query so you get the records who fit certain criteria you
desire and then turn it into an update query where you fill in the data in
the update to field in the column of your choice
