I have an autorun macro in MS Word that closes the Adobe PDF Toolbar when I
start Word. Is there a way to permanently delete it in Visio as well?

yup, just go to the add/remove programs in the control panel, find adobe
acrobat, click "Change" and once in adobe's customize install area, get rid
of "Create Adobe" section by changing it to "do not run from this computer"

Now all the adobe toolbars will be gone from all your MS applications.

I think a long time ago there was a suggestion from Greg to have an autoexec
macro that (temporarily) closes the Adobe toolbar in Word 2003. The autoexec
macro makes another macro called "Zapem" to close the Adobe toolbar. Until a
week ago that worked fine. I had to reinstall Windows XP and so also Office
with all its updates. Since then this autoexec/Zapem macro only works on Word
start up. Onmce in Word and opening a file, the Adbobe toolbar reappears.
What to do about it?
Thanks

Why don't you just disable the Acrobat toolbar in the Acrobat Setup in
Add/Remove Programs?

I know with Acrobat 6 Pro you could follow these steps:
1. Close Visio
2. Open Add/Remove Programs select Adobe Acrobat 6.x.x Pro ....
3. Click the Change button, select Modify....Next....expand Create Adobe
PDF, expand Acrobat PDFMaker.
4. Click the hard drive icon next to Microsoft Visio and select the X "This
feature will not be available" and click Next.

You should be able to do the same for the other office apps.
