I have a McAffee toolbar and a Blue Soleil Addin toolbar showing when I open
Outlook. I can delete them but when I open outlook again, they're back. I
need to know how to remove them from my computer alltogether since I never
use them.
Some body please help befor I have no hair left.
Thank you

Try Tools > Options > Other tab > Advanced Options button > Addin Manager
(and/or COM Addins). If your lucky you will see something that references
each and you can just uncheck the box to stop the programs from integrating
with Outlook.

If you are using Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Eudora, or
Thunderbird, you can disable the Anti-Spam toolbar.

Open the McAfee Spam Protection pane.

How?
On the SecurityCenter Home pane, click E-mail & IM.
In the E-mail & IM information area, click Configure.
On the E-mail & IM Configuration pane, under Spam protection, click Advanced.
On the Spam Protection pane, click E-mail Toolbars.
Clear the check box beside the toolbar you want to disable.
Click OK.

<sarcasm>Well now, wasn't that easy??</sarcasm>

Maybe this explains why I continually see Outlook and browsers with so many
rows of toolbars I can no longer see any content.

Why are instructions like this buried so deep?? The Outlook help files are
so useless they're not worth the disc space they occupy!!

And just WHAT does it take to be an MVP??? Don't make me use the <sarcasm>
tag again....

Google Groups copy of *old* thread: http://preview.tinyurl.com/y8as25k

Oh yes, of course, the participants in that *OVER 2-YEAR OLD* thread were so
anxiously waiting for your reply after all that time. Next time notice the
datestamps before replying. Duh!

(And, gee, I didn't have to use a <sarcasm> tag at all.)

And, of course, it is Microsoft's fault that some product that
re-establishes its toolbar so it reappears when Outlook loads. You're
blaming the wrong offender. If you actually read the solution, it didn't
have to do with Outlook at all. You'll notice the OP said they "deleted"
the add-ins but what does that mean? You don't delete add-ins. You disable
them or uninstall them. So it appears the uninstall did not take. And how
is it Outlook's fault that a program refused to uninstall?
Why are instructions like this buried so deep?? The Outlook help files are

Actually most users learn enough of the options in the beginning to get the
product to work how they want and then they learn more options as they need
them progressively later. Some initiative users actually go into the
options to see what is actually there. Ever tried that yourself? Go look
at the options. Go play with them. Or remain ignorant by your own choice.
And just WHAT does it take to be an MVP??? Don't make me use the <sarcasm>
tag again....

Well, one requirement is the initiative to actually *investigate* the
problem.
