how can i prevent of opening win messenger while i open outlook??

Hi ,
well i'm using microsoft office xp 2003 and i'm sick of windows messenger
,because it runs when i open outlook express and i don't know how can i
disable this thing.

ps)i'm using an old version of windows messenger(4.7) and i have a win xp
sp2 installed on my computer.
