How can I print 11 squared in a report ?

I need to be able to print 11^2 (eleven to the power of two, or eleven
squared) with the 2 printed as a superscript. In word it is a piece of cake,
but in access I can't seem to do it. I have typed 11 and the 2 as
superscript
(ie 11 squared) in WORD, and then copied and pasted it into access but when
I tried pasting it into a field which is defined as text data type it keeps
making it 112 instead of 11 and
the 2 superscript.

I also pasting it into a text box with a condition, ie if [field]=112, then
print11^2 but I can't seem to figure out how to that either. Can someone
help me, please ?

You are very limited with printed superscripted or subscripted text in
Access, but you can get a superscripted 2 by holding down the Alt key and
typing 0178 on the numeric keypad.

thanks for your help, but on my keyboard Alt 0178 doesn't work, I just get a
beep. I am in Belgium and using a microsoft QWERTY UK keyboard so probably
that has something to do with it. Is there anyway I can see what characters
and symbols are available to me in Access using my keyboard. Alternatively,
is there some way I can get it into an If , then type of statement in a
text box in a report ?

The data can be input and stored as 112, but it needs to print as 11squared
!

Works for me.
11 + ALT + 0178 displays/stores 11²

Did you use the number keypad (not the numbers on the top row of the
keyboard) while holding down the ALT key?

Open the Character Map program.
Start + All Programs + Accessories + System Tools + Character Map

Select whatever font style you are using.
Select Windows Western as the character set (unless you are using a
different set).
You should find a small 2 and a small 3 as a superscript character.
On my computer it's on the 7th row, extreme right, of the list.
Select it and you'll see it's value is ALT + 0178, but you must use
the number keypad. It should be the same on your computer.

You could also use in your if statement

if([field]=112, "11" & chrw(178)

Thanks for your help. I have had a look at the character map and, yes, it is
there as you say. But for some strange reason when I do Alt+0178 it doesn't
want to work. But nevertheless, at least I have been able to copy it from
the character map and paste it into a report so that whenever the field
concerned has something in it, 11² will be displayed and then printed in the
report.
