How can I prioritize tasks 1-5 within each day?

I have, for many years, managed daily tasks very successfully using the
Franklin Covey system for prioritizing each day's tasks 1-5 (1 being the most
improtant, etc.). I just converted to a TREO 650 and Outlook 2003 and my IT
Department is trying to convince me to stick with the Outlook applications
(rather than the PALM TREO) for Task List, etc. Not having the 1-5 daily
prioritization capability is killing my daily productivity. There must be
some way to add this.

You can add a custom field to the task list for the prioritization numbers.
Check the help menu for information on adding custom fields.

I tried that. I can figure out how to add another field, but not how to make
it sort 1-5 within a particular day as any PALM applicaiton can do...

You can sort by day and then by the custom field...go into the view
properties and set the sort order there, first day, then custom field.
