I post this solution regularly:
Use Start Date for the day you want it on your To do list (the TaskPad) and
Due Date for the day you want it to become desperate. They go Red the day
after Due Date.
To make your TaskPad both Prioritise and Schedule your work:
Set it to Active Tasks for Selected Days (View | TaskPad View | Active Tasks
for selected days)
You can then either group or sort by priority - right click the column
header of the TaskPad and use the Field Chooser to show the Priority Field.
Customise Current View also gets you there (and provides a few more
functions) as long as you start by right clicking the column header of the
TaskPad.
