How can I receive and send email using Outlook? It never worked.

It appears I have sent an email, but I never get them, and they nver leave.
They are just listed.
Outlook has never been activated on my XP computer; what do I do, to get it
working and installed/ the program is on the ocmputer, it just won't be used.

What version of Outlook? What type of account? What errors, if any, do you
see then you try to send or receive? Have you double-checked with your ISP
that your account settings are correct? What type of connection tot he
Internet does your computer have? It's hard to diagnose a problem when you
keep all the symptom a secret.
