My Outlook was unstable - so I reconfigured it in an attempt to make it
functional. However, this simply reinstalled Outlook and wiped out all my old
emails. How can I recover these emails? I have not shut down my computer
since. Please help! thanks

You can search your computer for your PST file that Outlook was using. When
you know where it's located on your computer, in Outlook, go to File -
Import/Export. Choose Import from a file. Browse to where the file is
stored. And the rest should just be defaults. Good luck.

Never import a PST. It loses data and there is no reason to do so. The
real approach is File>Open>Outlook Data File.
