How can I redirect (not forward) an email to the appropriate user

The value of "redirect" is that when it is received by the appropriate user
they may "reply" to the sender directly. Forwarding an email changes the
"from" field to my address.

That normally needs to be done at the server end....not sure you can do that
with individual emails. (Does Eudora have a Redirect function? I've
certainly seen an email client recently that does it, but not Outlook
AFAIK....)

I'm curious to see if it can be done by Outlook (2003). According to
the help file redirect to people is one of the options in the actions
list for Rules and Alerts, but it isn't in my list. Is this perhaps
because I am not using Exchange Server?

For the record The Bat! has a redirect option and IMO is a much better
e-mail client than Outlook. However, it does not have all the other
features of Outlook.

It's supported on Exchange if you have the latest version of outlook.

to redirect with non-exchange accounts or older versions of outlook, forward
as attachment. The recipient can reply to the original message.
