Within the last few days, for reasons that I don't understand, my computer
has been reformatting my Word documents, which I have stored on 3.5 floppy
discs. Recently, when I have saved a document, I have received the notice:
"This document will be saved in Word format. Do you want to continue?" I
never used to get this notice. Since my docs are almost always Word docs, I
have checked "Yes." Thereafter, as if I've given it permission, my computer
has reformatted the document, causing me much grief! I lose italics and
underlinings. I lose occasional paragraph indentations, and the font sizing
is made uniform throughout. Of course, this sometimes increases the
document's length. Most irritating are the columns of computer notes and
codes attached to end of my document. I can delete these and print the
document. I do not know how to remove them, however. When I send the
document, the receiving party will receive a document that I did not want to
send and do not know how to correct! He will have to waste paper to print out
additional sheets because of the nonsense that I have tried to remove! After
deleting these code columns, I save the document and close it. When I open it
again, however, there they are again! I want to delete them for good! Please
HELP! Thanks, WEJ
