How can I save a file so that others must "save as"?

How do I save a publisher file so another user can edit it (in Publisher),
but not save over the original file. Meaning, once they attempt to save it,
it will always ask to "save as" not simply "save."

Save your file as a Publisher template. Tell your user the file has to be
opened as a template.

In addition to Mary's suggestion, you can also write protect (change the
attribute to "Read Only") the publisher file. This will force a SaveAs
instead of a Save. The only problem with this method is that if they have
permission to change the attributes of the files in the operating system
then they can then turn off write protection. Right click the file name in
Windows Explorer, Properties and click the Read Only button on the General
tab then OK.
