I use a PDF writer to create PDF files from any application. Google "CutePDF"

Some multi-function printers allow you to scan in the project plan & it will
be sent to you in email as a PDF. For instance, our company uses Xerox
multi-functional devices. We print out the project plan & then scan it in &
get the PDF.
