How can I save my .rtf file (word doc) to an .asc file?

I need to save my word doc with the file extension .asc. I downloaded the
2003 conversion package but .asc is not within the package. Can anyone help
me save my file as .asc?

You can save a Word document with any extension by enclosing the filename in
quotes, however I think you are probably wanting to save it in formatted
plain text, for which the cfonverter has been removed for security reasons.
The old converter with registry patch to make it work is linked from the
downloads page my web site
