How can I search for everything but "not"

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

How can I incorporate "nots" in searching. For example in Spotlight I can use the search string foo -bar and it'll return anything with foo that doesn't include bar.

You can use a Raw Query. Search Help in Entourage 2008 for "using raw
query search".
