Most likely the reason that your not seeing the .EXE from the recommended
download is that most anti-virus software flags this type of software as
"Evil" and will keep you from using it. Even if it is not. It some cases
these 3rd party programs have been converted to viruses, but there are safe
versions of them out there. The problem is that the anti-virus people,
probably in conjunction with MS, are blindly labeling them as viruses or
malware. The last thing in the word that MS wants you, or anyone to be able
to do is walk up to ANY computer with their software on it and get the
keycodes needed for install, because then all you need is a disk, easily
available, to pirate their software, and beat ALL the anti-pirating measures
they have implemented. (Which is why they are a BIG waist of time)
Unfortunately this causes problems for people who have a legitimate need for
their key code and for legitimate reasons can't find the sticker with it on
it.
To get around this first be VERY VERY sure that the program you are using is
not infected or has not been converted to a virus, then if it is safe, create
a temp folder and move the .ZIP in there. Then in your anti-virus
configuration settings look for an option to exclude a folder or file from
being scanned and add the new temp folder to the exceptions list. This should
let you extract the .EXE and run it. Again you must be sure it is safe first,
and I would recommend that you create a system restore point on your system
before running the software and/or a complete system backup etc. It is
impossible to be "to safe" and easy to rush things and get in to trouble.
