How can I send an email from Infopath 2007 forms without having the form
attached or embedded in the email message?
In InfoPath 2003 I was able to set up a data connection to send an email
message, and by blanking out the attachment name, the form itself was not
included in the email.
However, in InfoPath 2007 the form is always included. If I blank out the
attachment name, it just embeds the form in the email.
Many of my forms send email notifications to different groups, directing
them to a central location (SharePoint) where they can see and work with a
single 'master' copy of a submitted form, so I do not need or want the form
to be included in the emails.

In 2007 they have removed this ability.

You either create a generic "email" view and you use that as the embedded
view in the emails.
In your buttons switch to the view right before the email submit. You can
also put a hyperlink in the view for convenience if you wanted.

The other option is to do server side email. I could show you how that can
work.

Thanks again Clay - sorry, I couldn't find my original question and
resubmitted. I'll give these suggestions a try and if I still ahve problem
I'll come back to ask about server side mail.
