How can I set up Outlook to notify me when emails come in

Z

Zoe

I am just starting to use Microsoft Outlook 2000 and I would like to know how
I can set it up so that when an email comes in, I will be notified either by
a pop up "you've got mail" type of message or a sound. I get the sound only
when I am actually in Outlook, other than that I never know if a message is
there.
Thanks

Aloha Zoe,

You can create a rule that pops up a message notification when a message
arrives. If I recall correctly Outlook 2000 (under Tools | Options | E-mail...)will
also pop up a message arrived notification of some sort.

Outlook 2003 has a much better notification capability.
